Unhappy Script Error

any suggestions on how to rid my brower of the contant "script error" messages. I have already gone to Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - and than - Checked "disable script debugging" and Unchecked "display a notifacation on every script error". This did not affect the error messages from displaying in my brower. Is there any other area that controls script error reporting that I may be missing and need to disable.

Go back into the advanced options for IE and unckeck the 'smooth scrolling' option. Reboot and see if the prob still occurs.

re:

I cant think of any others offhand. Go to www.google.com and type in the exact error you have and run a search. I'm sure you'll find a resolution.

Try another browser. Avant, Crazy, Mozilla, Opera, are good and more configurerable than IE.

What IE version are you using? 6 or 6 Service Pack 1

What is the exact error or does the error change?

Does the error come up on every page or just one page or just your homepage. If its your homepage, what is it?

Hey setec

I am running IE 6 and I have downloaded service pack 1( which was a criticial update) and actually the problem has been since that download... but not immediately after the download...
The error comes up on various web pages not just my home page which is MSN.
The exact error messages are different but are all script errors...

Now I have taken beeboy's suggestion and have downloaded Avant as an additional browser... I intend to surf the net today and see if the error message is gone... If it is I will assume that my problem was IE and if this is the case can it be reinstalled or repaired as I do like IE and have several items that will not work with Avant for example : Hotbar, popup stopper pro - toolbar, the yahoo and msn instant messanger icons and yahoo companion tool bar all of which I am quite used to using and would like them back.. Please mull on this and let me know your thoughts...

Oh and last but not least .. I am not in Mexico City I am located in Los Angeles...

No no, that is my signature at the bottom.

"I didn't know you could do that in Mexico City." is a line from the 1992 hacker movie "Sneakers" with Robert Redford. That was one of his lines.

You are welcome. I add urls to the links bar for quick access in Avant and I setup the mail icon for a logon url as well for my web mail. Hope thats a help. The alternate browsers have some real nice features and easily customised. I really like Avant now that I am getting used to it. I think it and Crazy are the fastest.
