Single XP profile for one user on domain and workgroup

I use a laptop running XP Pro, SP1 in several environments (work, home). Work uses a domain, and home uses a workgroup.

The domain environments are typical (network printers, servers, computers). The workgroup environment is lalso typical and has shared folders and local and network printers. As I move about, I either connect to my work domain, my home workgroup, or use the laptop stand-alone. How to do this is a basic question I've heard asked often.

I need to be able to use the *same* user profile in all cases, and I am the only user of this laptop. In other words, when I start the machine and log in, irrespective of whether I log in to the domain or the local machine, I want to see the same desktop, see the same folders in My Documents, and have the same permissions to access everything on the local machine.

Thanks
