weird problem, network setup wizard wont open

im tryin to setup a home network on two of my computer via crossover cable. the cable is plugged into the integrated ethernet connection on both mobo's.

on my second computer the network setup wizard ran fine, everything is good to go. but, on my main computer that has the wireless connection when i try to run the network setup wizard it seems like it opens(hour glass pops up for a mili second) but nothing happens after that? it seems it's closed down the second its opened...

givin that i have already ran a few spyware proggy's, cleaned the registry, defragged the hdd. im at a loss. any idea's or solutions?

Can't you just run the "New connection Wizard"? It is a bit harder with less features but it will still help you in what you need. Also Windows should auto detect that you have LAN and it is plugged in. That is werid. I would also update your drivers.

no cause even when you try to go through new connection wizard it refers back to network setup wizard and still doesnt open mobo drivers are all up to date
