Encryption and Corrupt local profile

Hi,

Recently, windows told me that my local profile was corrupt. I was unable to access many of my files. I created a new profile and copied most of my info over to that. Everything seems OK for now with one exception. I had two files encrypted with windows encryption. I can no longer "see" or access the files in my newly created profile. Is there any way to recover them. My setup is as follows

120 gb Maxtor HD
Windows XP Pro v. 2002 w/ SP2
CD-R
DVD+- RW
Firewire
USB 2.0
