SMART Error

Seagate's Disk Wizard Self Test says: Self-Test routine completed with a S.M.A.R.T alert Error

is there a way to get more information about the S.M.A.R.T error? i know that this kinda error is a bad thing and ive backed up the drive's data onto my 2nd hard drive but does this mean the 1st HD shoudl be replaced?

The information I've gotten from every tech I've asked about a S.M.A.R.T error is that, yes, the harddrive is going bad.

On system getting a S.M.A.R.T. notice of imminent failure, you can either keep the data backed up and use the drive until it fails or change that drive to a slave and use it until it fails or get the data off of it and throw it out before it fails.

If you choose to use it until it fails, never trust that it's going to work next time you try to access it. It may function for quite a while or it may be dead tomorrow.

It is on its last legs and you cannot really tell when it is going to take its last breath of working.
