Hi:
I am new here but have been on many different forums. I though that this one would be a better one for me.
Just recently, I installed a new mobo, and HD. I have the AMD Athlon 2600 + My mobo is ASUS A7N8X-X with 400 Mhz FSB.
When I tried to install my original win xp, I ran into a problem not being able to install. Finally, I sought help through a computer store and they even had a problem installing my win xp. They installed theirs and was working fine. That is until I brought my computer home. Then, it wouldn't even boot up. I thought what do I have to lose and I can install my original win xp on the same partition using old and new as folders. What happened was that I accidentally named the 2nd win xp (my xp) the same as the win xp (installed from their disk and when I tried to do a repair, I was warned that I have 2 folders named win xp. It is causing me some conflicts and I was wondering how I can uninstall one of the folders so I will have one clean install? There is no uinstall for win xp. I would expect that I have to do it in the command console but I don't know how to do it. Anybody have suggestions? I will certainly appreciate it. Thank you very much.
Regards,
