Help and Support

Help and support link of xp start menu not helping. Have tried every suggestions from support forums and google search. Have two copies of xp in two partitions and one working. This is a sort of backup copy. The main xp obviously used heavily and both are xp1 only. Have tried repairing registry and reinstalling help.inf etc . Any idea and how can i compare the working one and what am I looking for to sole help problems.
Thanks....Venkat

If I'm understanding the problem correctly - Help and Support doesn't open when you click on the link in the Start Menu - Doug Knox's fixwinhelp.vbs should fix it. Just download and run it according to the instructions on that page.

I have the same problem as Venkat -- Clean installed Windows Xp home on a new hard drive - installed Sp2 - installed all the latest critical updates - When I click on the 'Help and support' link in Start or in 'Help' on the menu bar at the top of 'My Documents' the function does not load. All I see is the curser with the hour glass - 'Help and Support' does not load and there is no error message associated with this. I downloaded fixwinhelp.vbs which adivsed me that the Registry entries were correct. Please does anybody know of any othere possible fix.
Regards
Erniezzz
