resizing photos for E-mailing

Q. Using Windows XP-Professional: When I select a photo and click "email this file" I do NOT get a dialog box so I am unable to make the file smaller for emailing. What happened to my dialog box??? I can email the pictures but it takes a long time because of the large size. No other problems with the computer dvdove@mindspring.com
