Can't get AVG 6.0 to uninstall

I want to install a new virus and pop up soft ware on my computer.
I know that I must uninstall AVG 6.0 but when I try I get the following message C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. the
system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate application.

Now i know this is going to sound strange but i would try this:

Install the newest version of AVG from Here. When installing the new version, it will automatically uninstall AVG6.
Then go to add/remove programs and uninstall AVG7 normally or go to AVG7 in the programs menu and select 'uninstall'.
