Lost Quick Launch icon in XP

I lost (inadvertently deleted it) the Quick Launch icon in lower task bar that enables one to go back in one clic on Desk top. The Quick launch function in Task Bar properties is duly clicked but no icon present in task bar. Cant' be retrieved from Waste basket. What to do? Thks for advice..

I'm always deleting my Recycle bin icon, but the one you deleted is a little more work to get back
