strange my computer problem

when i click my computer it goes to where it should (i.e shows hard disk cdrom drive etc) but when i double click C Drive it automatically goes to search and not open, i can open it if i right click c drive and select open or explore, but it used to just open rather than going to search >.< any help appeciated as i have raked my brains and cant sort it, if its any help im runnin windows xp pro, service pack 2 installed.

Go to this Kelly's Korner page, scroll down to line 18 and download "Search Opens When Double Clicking A Folder." Don't worry about the name, it works to fix the problem when double clicking on a drive, too.

Follow the directions at the top of that page for using the file you downloaded and the problem should be fixed.
