Exclamation One change in settings affects all user profiles?

I am using windows XP home.

It seems if I make one sytem change, it affects all the other user profiles on my computer. All the profiles have administrator properties.

To be specific, when I try to change the sound scheme for my profile, it changes it for the other ones too. I do not want this to happen, I would like it for just my own profile. Can this happen? Is there a way to break the connection between the profiles?

Another example is the default browser. I like Firefox, the other profiles use IE. I have got a program that fixes this, but I cannot find one for the sound sceme.

So I would like a way to break the bond of settings between the profiles so I can make system changes that will not affect the other profiles.

Thanks for your help!
