Driver Problem
Hi
HELP!!!
To make a long story short, I have a problem with a RAID controller. Using XP Home. The driver information (not the driver itself) is causing a 0x50 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA during loading of drivers in all modes. This is not a hardware issue as system works fine with device disabled. I tried a driver upgrade and caused all the problems myself. I cannot use System Restore, booting options, etc. I can access Windows by moving hard drive to IDE controller. I cannot enable this device without the error because the registry still calls for the update driver which caused the problem.
What I need to do is purge Windows of all driver info that relates to the updated driver. Since I cannot boot with the device enabled, I cannot just rollback the driver in Device Manager. Checking the registry shows an entry for the update driver and directs to an OEM.inf file with that information.
How can I delete these references to a driver version I removed?
