Forget about DVD driver - Windows install's it's own driver
for all optical drives. Windows also natively supports basic USB, but for USB2 support you need to install SP1 or SP2 if it's not already included in your new copy of XP Pro. For your video-card driver you should check your current installation's Device Manager in Control Panel to see what make and model is listed, then download latest driver from the maker's website. While your in Device Manager it would also be a good idea to see what other devices are listed which may require third-party drivers from the manufacturer's website.
(Scanner, Printer etc.). Ignore hard disks, optical drives and basic USB (USB1.1) , these are all supported by Windows natively. If you see the word 'Enhanced' in the USB section of Device Manager then it means you have USB2 ports which require SP1 or SP2 (I recommend you use SP1 together with a good AV and firewall in view of all the problems SP2 has caused).
Finally, do take more care with your software in future!

if you UPGRADE, which means bootup to your destop of xp home, drop in the pro disk, or start the install from windows, choose UPGRADE...it will use the drivers you have now and your programs will still be installed. if something goes wrong, like you choose new installation, a problem during install, or any unexpected happening...you need to have your stuff backed up....even if you dont do the upgrade, backup your stuff, windows is well known for it's ability to lose everything you have in seconds.
here's a link that has the basic "how to"
