Quick Desktop Problem
Hey,
My brother lent me his laptop to remove the spyware attached, expecially his desktop which had been taken over by an ad. So I downloaded a few different sweepers (Webroot spy-sweeper and ad-aware SE personal if it helps) which seemed to do the trick, however instead of the advertisement which was on the desktop before, now it's just a blank white screen which I can't for the life of me get rid of. If I move the taskbar down, then I can only see the bottom strip of the desktop picture, the rest is still white.
If you try accessing the display properties by right clicking then it doesnt have the 'Arrange Icons by...' list, it just has the properties, which says that the address of the desktop is:- file://C:\WINDOWS\desktop.html
It seems as if theres just an irremovable picture stuck to my desktop!
can anyone help?
Regards,
Liam
