Driver problems - any ideas out there

All,

I have recently received a camera for xmas and installed the driver on my pc. When I plug in my camera, my computer starts the hardware wizard but it cannot find the software of the driver even though I have installed it.

The same has happened with the 2.0 USB port I have bought to use with my camera. I can see that the driver is installed, but my pc says the software is not there and won't let me use the usb port.

I have even tried to get the computer looking for it manually with me choosing the drive but it aint working.

Camera is Sony DSC P-150
USB NEC 2.0 5-port PCI card
AMD Athlon 1600+ processor
ACPI UNiprocessor
Windows XP 2002 service pack 2

Any ideas? Please help

Can you see the camera in Device Manager?

If so is it showing correctly, or does it have a yellow triangle beside it?

Dave,

I can see the device on the device manager. At the moment it has a yellow triangle on it with an "!" on it.

I then go to it's properties and try and install the driver software but it says the wizard cannot find the software even though it is saved to my computer and the disc is in the hard drive.
