Lost quick lauch toolbar

I logged on to my computer today at work, and the quick launch toolbar did not appear. When I right click on the taskbar at the bottom of the page and try to check off the "quick launch" toolbar, I get the following error:

Cannot create toolbar

I had our IT department look into the issue, but no resolution. Any suggestions.

The Quick Launch is a folder that should exist on your Local Drive.

See the Microsoft Solution to this:

Microsoft

Hope it helps

Dave

PS - If you are in an office environment, and you use a Domain when you logon, (Ctrl - Alt - Delete) then you must make sure you create the folder in the correct profile

Quick lauch still not working properly

Your suggestion helped me to recreate the quick lauch toolbar but it does not look like it did before. Now I have the word "Quick Lauch" down on my taskbar and I have to click the double arrows in order to get a list of my programs.

I know about locking and unlocking the toolbar, but the icons are now accompanied with the full name of the programs, so if I want to see all of my programs, the taskbar gets too large. Beforehand, I just had the icons, so I could lock my taskbar with all of the programs displayed, and it would not take up much space.

How to I get the quick launch toolbar to look and work as it did before. Specicially, I would like to see just the icons without the full program title and also eliminate the word quick launch.

Now that is very bizarre, I am sorry, I am not aware of any reason for this. Did you follow the microsoft instructions correctly?
