Windows Xp Wallpaper and Windows Media Player problem!

hello,


I have Installed Windows XP, just a Month Back and therefore

is relatively a newbie in its trouble shooting area.

I am having 2 problems:


1. Any Wallpaper that i choose to decorate my desktop with,

looks hazy, i have tried adjusting my screen resolution

settings many times, but nothing hasn't worked so far.



i am using a samsung 17 inch colour monitor with a 800 *

600 setting configured by me.

I have tried to use a 1024 resolution as well, but still any

wallpaper that i put on my desktop continues to look very

Hazy.... please tell me/ help me in this regard.


2. There is a similar kind of a problem with my real player and

windows media player as well, when i view videos in them

in a smaller view, they appear to be very clear with

absolutely no problems at all, but the moment i choose to

Maximize the screen by pressing keys ALT + Enter i.e. try to

view movies in full mode, they again appear to be very HAZY

and it becomes difficult for me to view them, then i have to

shift back to a smaller view again....plz help and tell me what

is to be configured in order to get away with this problem..
