ik have a gigabyte k8vt800m motherboard
200 gb sata hard drive
windows xp home edition (32bits)

now i want to make a multiboot with
windows xp home edition (32bits)
windows pro x64

but when i entered the x64 cd it said i had no hd in my pc..

I cannot believe the sata drivers are that big. Are you sure there isn't other software included?
You can slipstream the sata drivers into Xp if you like, using nlite. This involves making a new install cd. Nlite is free, easy, and works like a charm.

ok update

i understand the packages a little bit better

they where 5.8 mb and 2.8 mb but many more info was in there.
so i unpacked the files and put the drivers on a floppy
but the 32-bits version of the driver wasn't exepted by the x64 setup
and the 64-bits driver causes an unexpected error.

so what now?

thx for your help

Joost

OK. Yes, you need the serial ata drivers. You tried to install xp 64 bit. You had the new 64 bit drivers on floppy? You pressed F6 to install the drivers when windows asked?
