Connection problems

I was connecting to the net with AOL through a high speed connection, (the FritzBox).

My computer got hit with a lot of adware and unwanted software and so I cleaned it and got rid of all unfriendly programmes.

Trouble is, I think I cleaned it too well because now, AOL is saying that it cannot detect the modem and will not connect.

I have downloaded a driver and still noy joy. Could you possibly help me to get connected though AOL again please.

Except where a virus is to blame for computer trouble, the first port of call to get up and running again is to use 'System Restore' in your case. SR can sometimes tell you it can't perform the process, but the worst it can do is leave you where you are now, so worth a try.
