I'm trying to upload some zip files to my site for others to download, only when I ftp them to the server, it shows up as folder.zip, not an actual zip file. I spoke with a buddy and he said that its an issue with XP, that he has to use a second pc with 98 on it, in order to upload zip files.
Any suggestions on getting zip files to upload properly? I'm using the free version of winzip. Will the full version accomplish my goal or perhaps you have a suggestion on other zip type programs that you have used that give you no problems when uploading them to a web site using ftp programs.
