Due to some annoying network problems, I ended up reformatting my computer and reinstalling Windows today. So far, all's gone well, though I've run into two rather annoying problems:
- One, is that icons on the desktop don't have a transparent background, despite the fact that my desktop is not locked, and icons are set to use drop shadows. I've played around with the options and can't get it working (though it does display properly on a second user account).
- Two, is that when using the non-Classic Start Menu, hovering over "All Programs" and such won't cause them to extend; only clicking on them gets them to do open (not life-threatening, but I'm used not not having to do this). I have the menu set to open submenus when paused on them with the mouse, and toggling this on and off gives no effect.
So in otherwords, nothing major, but I'd like to get these sorted out, without having to go and make another user account. Any help will be very appreciated.
