How do I transfer XP to different computer

I'm sending a leased computer back that I upgraded to XP Pro (which I purchased). I want to remove XP Pro from the old computer, and reinstall it on an entirely different one. What should I do regarding the registration of XP? How do I reset the registration at Microsoft to permit the new computer to be registered?

To the best of my knowledge microsloth won't allow that without payment for a new license... best advice, contact them & explain your situation.

Transferring the OS will require reactivation. Note that unless you are lucky, you will at best need to repair the installation prior to first run on the new PC.
