Hi Kostakio

Bit late, but that error will mainly be to your sound drivers not installed, your sound card is disabled for some reason.

Best thing to do is go to:

Right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager >
Sound Video and Game Controllers click on the + sign and see what is in there.
come back to this forum with any messages and I'll try and help as much as possible.

dunno if this helps but he installed a new modem for his internet connection and thats when he lost his sound

Set a System Restore Point before installing driver just in case

MSI list 3 models under MS-6712, all have AC'97 audio, go here to Reaktek to get the driver http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True

Hope this helps

Ok I've been having this same problem, before I even came here I knew to find the drivers and install. My computer reset and all that likes it's supposed to but it still is giving me this error message and not detecting my sound card! It's a built in card so I can't remove it and reboot to detect.

Unfortunately that didn't work at all I ran the installer of the chipset and it rebooted like it was supposed to; but on that boot it said Windows could not initialize and I had to roll back to before the installer.
