Sorry for late reply, needed to be sure, look at this, it's how to Disable the audio, but use it to navigate through the BIOS to your audio and set to On, the right arrow key will set to ON

This is the driver download for your board, it's a large zip file containing all the drivers ( click Driver tab ) , download then unzip, I suspect the audio to be Realtek

http://global.shuttle.com/download03.jsp?PI=585

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

partial audio problem

first post here. please bear with me. was cleaning out what I thought were unneeded/unused files and think I deleted some needed audio codecs. I have reinstalled quite a few codec packs and have regained partial audio playback(WinMedia Player), but am still missing audio for apps like YouTube or Myspace. any help, or redirection on where to get help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, if you've got "partial sound" that means you have the correct driver or codec installed.

You don't need codecs to listen to music, but besides that, what happens when you try and play videos / sound on Youtube or Myspace? If it's videos, then you'll need to reinstall Flash player / Macromedia player.

Reply with more info please

thanks Kevin for quick reply, tried reinstalling most current version of Flash Macromedia player, and still no sound for myspace videos or music. also probably unrelated, but I've lost my audio control on windows taskbar. have tried adding back on with no luck.

If you've lost your sound icon, then you'll need to search properly for your correct sound driver.

What make and model is your PC?
