need more info, make, model or Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.

I hate the ASUS site.
Sound: http://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mis...8/WDM_3665.zip
There are other items you would be wise to install as well, if you want your system to perform at it's best: http://support.asus.com/download/dow...s&SLanguage=en
Get the latest versions for XP

I tried this earlier today, and it when I needed to restart my computer after installation, Windows would never boot up and I had to go back to before I put it up.
I had actually at first got drivers for Soundmax, but it still didn't work. I don't know why it's doing, this, or what the problem is!
The thing is that under the Soundmax part in Computer Management it says it has the drivers and it's working, the thing that is wrong is there are 4 yellow exclamation point flagged parts that were originally all 4 titled "Media" but are now titled "Unknown Device." Which, I had no idea what those are there for, or what device it's talking about.

I have a sneaky feeling the audio is Sigmatel AC97, Vistil.

You used a dell driver then. My information is that the audio is Sigmatel.
If it looks like this though: http://www.firingsquad.com/media/art...mage.asp/988/1
Then it's CMedia CMI8738: http://www.download.com/C-Media-CMI8...-10495782.html
