Sorry for the double post, but I can't figure out how to edit. I got the audio working and downloaded the video driver to fix my screen resolution, but my computer won't install a driver for my Ethernet card, so I can't connect to the internet. Would one of those drivers be able to fix that, or should I look for help elsewhere?

Sorry for the triple post, but I got it working on my own. Thanks again, bookworm!

All the audio drivers are the same, or at least the ones i checked. I installed that, with the recommended DVD player, but yet there's still no audio. My laptop is Presario 905US, or at least that's what the label says. The avaliable audio drivers are on Presario 900 ones. What else can I do?

Thank you in advance.

Compaq Pesario

I'm currently having the same problem.

Operating System
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)

Processor
2.60 gigahertz Intel Celeron
8 kilobyte primary memory cache
128 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Drives
80.02 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
68.10 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space

SONY CD-RW CRX215E5 [CD-ROM drive]

ST380012A [Hard drive] (80.03 GB) -- drive 0, s/n 5JV1AVPQ, rev 4.06, SMART Status: Healthy

Main Circuit Board b
Board: Foxconn 661MXPlus
Serial Number: UYRC81602894
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 09/20/2007

Memory Modules c,d
384 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'A0' has 512 MB
Slot 'A1' is Empty
Slot 'A2' is Empty
Slot 'A3' is Empty

It started yesterday, when my PC wouldn't go to my Optional User screen, and went directly to my Owner user. A error message was shown, and I was unable to connect to the internet, and my computer would freeze if I tried to switch users or restart.

Then I didn't hear any sound when my PC logged on.

If you can help me figure out why my sound is gone, and a way to bring it back, that would help.
