I have downloaded that advisor program, But don't really know what to do next.

Sound Problem on Asus Laptop W5000

I don't know what happened to my computer. somehow going to the sound panel everything is greyed out. But I can stlll use Winamp because I went to adjust the settings in Winamp to choose Realtek Device as my output. But only winamp works, and none of the other sound works on my system. I heard there was the problem with the UAA, I already went and installed that, and then I also download the necessary drivers afterwords, but my sound still doesnt work. In the Device managers, there's no ! or ? signs on any devices, they all seem working fine. So I don't know what's the problem, please help!!

Unhappy Cant install any motherboard drivers, crashes random boots and cant install sound

first i thought it was a virus making my comp to crasch that did something with the BOOT EXECUTE, related to FSSUI.exe
but since no intivirus or anti spyware can find anything and ive formated twice i think this serial of events might be of hardware or bad drivers.

i traded my comp for this bout a year ago with a former friend, that threatened me recently for something not related to this that i didnt do, so i dont really want to go over and see him to get the cd with drivers ^^

Dont know what to copy and paste in so ill paste in everything that looks good to know =)

i have been at http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us

and installed the drivers for motherboard and sound as well as utilitys, but as i have no sound and i tryed to reinstall the sound i get a message where it says its not the proper drivers for my soundcard, odd when im using the intergrated audio..

and im still having random crashes aswell as boots.

Would be really nice with a solution before i buy a gameboy instead

oh and as for the sound, it says like for most ppl "no hardware device installed"

In the Device managers, there's no ! or ? signs on any devices, they all seem working fine. So I don't know what's the problem, please help!!

2 audio drivers, 1 onboard and 1 a PCI card, there will be a conflict, you need to Disable the onboard in the BIOS to use the PCI sound card, look at this from HP - Step 4 and Step 7

i have been at http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us

and installed the drivers for motherboard and sound as well as utilitys, but as i have no sound and i tryed to reinstall the sound i get a message where it says its not the proper drivers for my soundcard, odd when im using the intergrated audio..

and im still having random crashes aswell as boots.

Would be really nice with a solution before i buy a gameboy instead

oh and as for the sound, it says like for most ppl "no hardware device installed"

you have an A8V-VM not the A8V-VM SE this model has a different audio driver - this is link http://support.asus.com.tw/download/...Language=en-us

it'a ADI audio the SE has Realtek and it will crash if you try to install

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore – click radio button Create a restore point and follow instructions
