The Sis 7012 integrated audio chip
is not detected as long as there is no driver installed.
1. First instal a driver, which is most likely to be Realtek AC97
There might be a problem when trying to install a driver frim Sis website.
You might encounter an error message (it gives only a number code, no explanations) but it is worth trying this driver.
2. Once the audiodriver is installed, reboot the PC
3. Eventually the Sis 7012 chip will automatically be detected as "new hardware" but wil be named otherwise (something like Multimedia Controller). This device is actually the "sound device"
4. Go to the Device Manager.
5. Open "Sound , Video and Game Controllers" and search for "Realtek AC'97 Audio". Right click on it and go to "Properties"
6. Under tab Details (device instance ID) you wil see the vendors item with "7012" somewhere in the long ID.
