Under video there is more than one graphic card drivers shown, belarc is not showing which one you have, do you have a CD disc with any of the names listed, or documentation showing the graphic card.

I had the same problem with having no sound after i reformatted my PC.. Hope this helps, i just ran dxdiag and as the system scans, got a notice which says new hardware found and that's it.. Got my sound back.. I have this built in sound card in my Mobo, Cmedia...

I need the report, the clues to the motherboard and audio will be there, Non detected is because the sound driver is not installed, to copy left click to highlight the section, right click- choose copy- then come to site and again right click- select paste - it will then show in post

The only thing I am finding is an Hitachi Flora notebook which is available only in Japan can you look over the comp, a sticker or label with a model number serial number or asset tag,

Hello there, I am having the same problem as well, as you could imagine, I also recently formated my PC due to spyware problems.

I don't get any sound, and I have repeatedly attempted to install drivers, I have even uninstalled hardware and reinstalled it via the hardware manager, but no dice, the sound still won't work.
I'm looking for help now, and I used Belarc Advisor to get this information about my PC's multimedia.

Any help would be welcome, and thanks in advance.

Do you have a Compac Presario 5000 computer, from what I can see you have onboard sound ES1888 and a ESS Allegrio PCI Audio sound card installed.What is Device manager showing, any yellow ? or ! marks. Look in Sound and Audio in Control panel, what is the default audio player.

Ok this is a shot in the dark, the sites are Japeneze, but found drivers for the Flora Series

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

Then go here to Hitach http://translate.google.com/translat...l%3Den%26lr%3D
at top click Support tab/ Download - As for details this

When you get to download page, at the bottom under Download, the agreement is in Japenize click the left hand and the download will show

the drivers are shown for sound

I do have a Compaq Presario according to the massive lettering on the front of my PC, I'm not sure if it's a 5000, but it was a relatively common model when I got the PC.

The Sound and Multimedia device simply states my Sound Playback as being ESS Allegro, no more, no less.
And yes, there is a yellow "!" mark next to the ES1888 Plug and Play Audiodrive (WDM) when I troubleshoot it tells me that
