Set a Ststem Restore Point before installing each of these drivers just in case

Then go here to Dell http://support.euro.dell.com/support...&os=WW1&osl=EN

First install Chipset ( Intel Software Installation Utility ) then RESTART your comp

Second install Audio Driver AD1 198x

Additionally, the system is not detecting my internet modem too, so I am not able to go online and run a check with XP.

I was able to install Belarc Advisor with a flash drive and run it.

Hope you can help, I had a blank device manager and no sound.
I had to remove windows update 905749 to get the device manager back and stil no sound.I have updated my ac97 audio but no sound and an exclamation mark on my multimedia video controller.

Please help me! I have reinstalled Windows and now I have no sound.. Windows Media Player is displaying this massage: „Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly.“ Can you help me find a driver for my sound card.
