Ok now I downloaded the updated codecs for my Realtek AC'97 and after rebooting something came up and now it shows Microsoft Kernel Audio (4 different of this stuff) But there are yellow exclamation marks on them all. The error says that there is already a duplicate device running in the system. I'm not sure what to do now, should I restore back or is there something here?

Its really strange and all since it still says that there are duplicate devices running and the yellow exclamation mark but hey my sound works I'm pretty sure you all helped alot and I wouldn't have found the solution (whatever it was) without all of you!! Thanks again!!

Hey there, I'm a newcomer and apparently, you're the man for this!

Here's my problem, but I'm afraid that this may be more than a sound issue.

All of a sudden I had no sound, so I tried to remedy the issue by restarting. The odd thing is, right after I restart, my sound works and i can take a screenshot of this:

Which seems to be perfectly fine. But after about a minute, if not less, I lose sound, and this is how that exact same window looks like:

My interface seems to be switching back and forth at odd intervals. And losing sound after a minute after restarting seems like something is loading in the background and shutting it off? Whatever it is, it's not reassuring.

Think you can help? thanks!
