Thank you very much for your help. Unfortunately I have another small problem, I hope you can help me again. The download worked perfectly. I was then asked to install the driver by opening a file. The instructions were:
You MUST select 'Open' for the installation to work.
The only two options were to save the file or cancel. Saving does not work and I have no download managers, or options to change this setting in Firefox. Do you know of any way for me to install the driver?

Set the download manager in FF

Tools - Options - Main - Downloads - tick Show Downloads window when downloading a file

radio buttons - 2 option Save file to - Browse to My Downloads or what you have named the folder

Always ask me where to save file

I created a folder in My Documents named My Downloads and set FF to install all downloaded files to this folder.

The plug and play software emulator had was missing.
Fixed by searching for machine.inf then copy to temp directory. remove
at about line 20 " ExcludeFromSelect=* "

goto control panel, add new hardware, next (let it seach), yes hardware
is connected, next, scroll to bottom, add new hardware device, next,
install from list, next, select system devices, next, select have disk,
point to amended copy of machine.inf in temp directory, scroll to "plug
and play software device emulator" in right hand column, next and
complete install.
