Installation Error - File acpi.sys is Corrupted

I am attempting to install Windows XP at startup and continue to get the following message:

File acpi.sys is corrupted.

Setup cannot proceed at that point. How can I fix this problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I had the same problem

You have to clean your cd. There is a read error from your cd.
