How to record screen events in XP for video

I am trying to make a digital video on a product (software program). The video I have looks terrible so I would like to record the actual screen. How do I do this. I have a video editing program(Pinnacle Studio DV 7) already, that uses firewire to capture the video onto the software, but how do I go the other way? My video card has s Video connections. I want to record my computer screen movements onto a digital video.. thanks
Please help with any suggestions.

I think Lotus used to do a package called Screencam that would do this but I never used it personally - might be worth looking to see if they still do it?

I found a program online called Camtasia that does the trick....thanks Chris.
Now I just have to match it all up with my current video speed etc.
