Outlook Express DBX Files

Does anybody know of a good free(emphasis on FREE) app to fix a dbx file from Outlook Express?

This file seems to suffer from the 2GB limit problem these things have. because it is coincidentally 1.99GB in size. Now before you start hammering at me for extremely bad email practices, this file is not mine, it's my uncle's file in his PC, which is a mess.

Well anyway, Outlook express can not access the file. I've already moved the file to another location and let Outlook create a new inbox.dbx, so it can download the emails and stuff. But all the old ones are in the other file And i'd like to recover some them. He seems to want some of them really bad.

Any apps you know about that might do this for FREE?

No need to apologize. I really appreciate the help.

BTW, i found an app, that backs up the dbx files and can then be restored, i'll see if i can back up the inbox and then delete some stuff from the backup and restore it, and see if it works. I'll do this tonight, and i'll post back with any results.

Thanx again.

Found a great App

I found another app that works a bit slow, but actually extracts the emails from the dbx file. Its called DBxtract,You can get it here

its free, although the author does encourge you to send in 5 dollars if you like it. Which i definitely do.

Well thanx all for your help.
And lets keep up the good help.
