how do I get rid of this?

Ok so my sister decided to start messing around with stuff on XP, and she somehow got this on (off to the left), and I have no clue how to remove it (let alone know what its called), can someone please help me out.
Here's a print screen of it.

Do you mean the red cross (or is it actually a picture)?

Right-click on the desktop and choose "Properties-> desktop (tab) ->customise desktop (button) -> Web (tab)

The web content file (probably a picture but the red cross means it's missing) is listed in the window. Highlight it and click delete.
