Problems Ripping WMA Files

In the past couple of days, I have been unable to rip WMA files using WMP10. It is either painfully slow (15 min+ per song) or cycles through the disc without creating any files. I have 2 drives (DVD burner and DVD drive) and both stopped working at the same time. I'm running SP2 on an hp pavilion and have copied about 200 discs previously with no problem. Recently I installed DVD XCopy (subsequently removed after having these problems). Could this have anything to do with it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Figured out the problem. spoolsv.exe was chewing up my memory. I deleted a couple of files in the \printer directory under system32 and haven't had the problem since.
