Problem with startup/shutdown logon screen

Hey guys! I hope someone can help me with this one. I installed a desktop theme on my computer. The theme came with startup/shutdown screens. I recently uninstalled the theme but cannot get rid of the startup/shutdown screen. Can someone please help me.

my suggestion is to use msconfig. go to start then choose run and type msconfig. from there, you have to choose the startup selection and un-check the particular program that loads during startup and click ok and restart your computer. see if it works. otherwise, i recommend a software, tune-up utilities 2004 which has a lot of functions. one of them is the startup programs and you can minimize the loading of certain programs using this software.

Hi,
In my opinion,you should replace ntoskrnl.exe in C:\WINDOWS\System32
If you have got CD-WINXP pro it's very good.
Then you must open "Run" and type "sfc /scannow"
your computer can replace it.
