No sound

Hello. I put together a computer for a customer of mine and I have no sound at all. Everything checks out. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers several times. I have tried different outputs. Different files and file types. Everything in the BIOS looks A-OK as well. Any suggestions??

Shuttle SK43G
Athlon XP 2500+
512MB ram
80GB SATA HDD @ 7200RPM
