Trouble with Windows Installer

Hello,

whenever i try to run a .msi file, i get "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if yuo are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance"

This profile is the admin account and when i try to install a new version of the installer it just doesn't load anything.

If anyone could help me, i would really appreciate it. Thanks

found this solution in several places. looks easy,too.
1. open a command prompt:

2. Type msiexec /unregister and press Enter.

3. Type msiexec /regserver and press Enter.


this re-registers your windows installer. hope it helps.

Oh wow! i had to make an account just to thank you for this lol, i had been stuck for a looong while now not able to install anything, it made me a sad panda tysvm!
