Angry Log on to Windows XP...no options

Sorry to barge in here like this but I'm having some serious issues with someone's laptop.

Anyway, this guy came in here this morning with his laptop and said something along the lines that he removed all domain information from his laptop (running Windows XP Professional).

When you boot up and get to the log on screen and try to log in, you get the message box that there is no domain to log in to. When you click the Options >> button to try and log in locally, no options are shown.

Anyone have a solution to this? I've never seen it before and figured I'd try here before I re-install XP.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

You can log in locally by typing 'computername\Administrator'
in the username box - without the quotes, and replacing computername with the correct one.

But if you don't know the computer name, I'm not sure how to find out without going into windows. Theres gota be a way, I'll look it up. Someone on here must know though.

OK, if you use a 98 boot disk to get into DOS, then type 'ipconfig /all' without quotes that 'should' give you your computer name, then you can follow the steps above.

If that doesn't work then I don't know sorry.
