Media Player Classic Issue

1. XP Pro
2. Running on Athlon 64 bit with K8VSE board

This is a pop up that I get on-screen from time to time...

"Unrecognized switch(es) found in command line string:

C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\Media Player Classic\mplayerc.exe\runevent C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\Media Player Classic\rpwa3260.dll
Watch folders_timer

Usage: mplayerc.exe "pathname" [switches]

...and then there is a list of these parameters of switches I believe, below"

I started getting this when for reasons beyond me, I decided to try and delete Media Player Classic. There was no uninstall, so i resorted to the delete.

Then, I knew I had something going on when I tried to install Real Player and it seemingly installs everything, but when I try to launch it, nothing happens. Also, when I try to uninstall Real player, it says that the component is not there.

Any help is appreciated.

Did anyone ever figure out a solution to this problem?

I've got the same problem. Tried removing it but no luck so far.

I have the same problem, and have found no permanent solution. It appears as though whatever is causing this problem is in some way related to having RealPlayer and MPC both installed on your machine. A temporary fix that works for me in WinXP is entering the task manager and ending the process "realsched.exe" Once I deactivate this process, the popups cease.
