Dial-Up Dialogue won't stop appearing.

Ever since yesterday, when using the internet, if I come across a 'Cannot Be Found' error, the Dial-Up dialogue pops up asking me to connect to the internet, when I'm connected just fine through LAN. It just happened to be the page not loading is all. But the popping up of the thing is extremely annoying.

I'm running Windows XP Home Edition, using the Firefox 1.0.1 browser. This began happening yesterday.

If you don't actually use dial-up connection and all of the sudden you get these dial-up pop up then that mean you got the dial-up virus. Basically this virus will try to call a long distance number which by the way is very expensive call and then your local phone company will collect the money from you.

But it's not actually dialing, just appearing. And in the phone number slot, it shows a number I've used in the past (when I did use dial-up).
