Compaq presario 2800 power down problem
Hi - think ive got a hardware problem - notebook keeps powering down when on power. battery is very dead already, so this means instant off. have tripped over power cord a while ago & this may have dmaged power jack, but it seems to be an intermittent problem. sometimes power light is on, can hear machine trying to boot up/access disk drive then nothing. Other times boots up fine, runs fine for a while then enexpectedly terminates. Any ponters to a simple fix or does someone think this might be something more sinister? Appreciate any feedback - cheers
