Unable to use network printer

I have Windows XP Pro on 2 networked PC's. I have a local printer(lexmark 1100) installed on PC(B). All was working well till HD took a dump. Installed new HD and installed XP on PC. Network is back up and running, however I can no longer use printer on PC(A). I get a message stating that I do not have permission to access this printer. File and printer sharing is enabled. I tried to give permission, do not have a "security tab" where it is supposed to be.

These are the lan connections I currently have running...

Client for Microsoft Windows
QoS packet scheduler
Service Advertising Protocol
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
NWLink NetBios
NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBios Compatible Transport Protocol
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

File sharing works fine, just can't use printer. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve

Are you connected to an older Novell network? If not, why the heck do you have NWLink (IPX/SPX) installed?

I would try running the Add Printer wizard and tell it to look for your networkd printer, if that does not work try reinstalling the printer on the host computer...

Is the partition formatted with FAT32 or NTFS?

Have IPX/SPX installed to support certain games for lan connection. I tried add printer and it tries to install printer driver twice. But still doesn't work. Tried reinstalling printer on host computer. Prints from host, not from second PC. Partition is formatted with FAT 32.

Thing that sucks.... worked fine before HD crapped out.

If it is formatted with Fat32 you will not see a security tab
NTFS gives you that option.
I would suggest redoing the HD with NTFS or there is a convert command but I forget it.
