IBM Netvista and XP pro not agreeing

I'm trying to install XP pro on a Netvista P3 1.0 ghz with a 40 gig hd and 256 or 512 memory. XP will load, go through the initial set up, reboot, flash the XP loading page, the go to nothing. It acts like it is still loading, but it's not showing anything on the monitor.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

i am having the exact same problem...i cant find help anywhere and i am sthinking someone else must have had this problem
