IVA College exam (Please help if you have time)

Hi. I have got some work for my IT Technician corse that has to be tomorrow at college. I have put it on here for experts to help me get top scores. If you have time please help me out. Here is the exam i have to do:
Btec National Diploma

Trouble Shooting Problems

Task 3A

It?s your first day on the help desk of a major computing company. The phone is ringing non-stop with user queries and customers bringing in their computers. Your job is to deduce what is the problem, show how you got to this conclusion and provide a solution. Some of the problems may be caused by different things. They may have one or more solutions. Please provide a complete answer as possible. Any assumptions must be documented

My PC won?t turn on, there are no lights on at the front and the screen doesn?t come on

Note: remove all power cables from wall sockets and take necessary anti-static precautions before entering case

Is it plugged in to mains socket and the back of case?
Check fuse in plug
Is Power outlet switched on?
Check switch on back of case is turned on
Check power supply cable to main switch on front of case
Remove and refit main power input plug to motherboard
Remove and refit CPU and Memory

If none of the above work you will need a new power supply unit

Here are the rest of the questions

My computer comes on and makes all the right noises, with all the flashing lights but there is no picture.

I?ve just installed some more memory a 32MB DIMM to add to the one already in there, but the POST screen says I?ve only got 32 Mb, why??

The light on my floppy drive is always on

The PC gets past the POST screen but then says that there is an invalid boot disk, what?s gone wrong?

Why is my PC not picking up the hard drive?

On boot up my PC bleeps 7 times and there is no display, what can I do

I?ve just installed a Network card and it is not working also my video card is playing up. When I look in system there is an IRQ conflict, what is IRQ and how can I solve the problem?

The sleeve of my floppy disk has come of in the drive, how can I get it out and is the disk still usable?

Arrrrgh I have a virus on my Hard drive, what do I do?

I?m having problems with my CD Rom, when I insert any kind of CD the drive spins and doesn?t stop, then I get an error message that the CD is not accessible or ready, Help

My printer won?t print

I have a printer Jam, what do I do?

I?ve just installed a new Graphics card, the display comes up but the quality is very poor, it?s a 128MB card but the settings will only let me use 16 colours, is the card faulty?

I am confused, I am going to buy a new PC that has a Celeron processor, is this different from a Pentium??

I keep getting the message ?driver memory error, Kagou Anti-Kro$oft says not today? what does this mean? If I click on OK in the dialog box, it shuts the computer down?

I?ve a problem with a SDRAM DIMM, when I switch on, the screen goes blank and the speaker goes bananas. 72 pin Simms works fine. I?ve double-checked the jumper settings and everything is set right.

I am just getting my first PC that my friend is building for me. They?ve asked me what Windows operating system I should use. The PC is a P4 1700 with 32mb Ram. Can you also explain the differences between the Windows operating systems

On Boot up I get a key stuck error and lots of beeps, why?

My mouse doesn?t work

Why won?t my USB Scanner work on my Windows NT PC

I?ve just switched on my PC and found the message ?Keyboard missing or not installed?. At the bottom of the screen it said ?press F1 or Del to continue? How can I do this without a keyboard. What is wrong?

We?ve just moved our PC equipment and my PC is making a whirring noise, what is it??

I have a 7 GB hard drive, which I use as a second drive to my 8.4 GB one; recently the drive started making funny noises. This resulted in data loss and bad sectors when I do a scan. I tried formatting a drive but this failed. What can I do

How can I speed up my Hard drive file access times, without spending any money

I?ve just installed a Sound Blaster 128 but I cannot get any sound out of it
