Angry XP fonts hidden

OK I've read a few forums on here about this problem, but no one seems to have a real solution yet, or an idea as to whats causing the problem... So I'm hoping there's a good solution for me....

Here's the problem... All of my fonts have dissapeared. I've only got System and Fixedsys fonts now. I been through the display properties and selected the system font so I can read stuff, and I have to install new fonts each time I start up the PC. However, everytime I re-boot the fonts installed are gone... But actually, they're not gone (???).... I can go to the Control Panel from My Computer and look in the Fonts folder and it appears empty, although the properties say 330ish files and 30MB. However, if I go to Control Panel from the Start button I can list and preview all fonts.
I've virus checked a few times and with different checkers and nothing is detected.
I've also tried some of the 'fixes' listed in other forums here and they dont solve the problem.
Here's the next problem.... System Resort wont take me back far enough to a date when the system was working.

All help, comments and advise greatfully appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Mick

Well, no thanks to anyone on here I managed to fix the problem.
I had to install some new software and as part of the installation process the software created a new user account for XP. When the installation was complete and Windows had rebooted a few times everything was back to normal. Bizzare.
I suspect that creating the new account curred the fault.
The new account isnt actually needed by the new software and I've subsequently deleted it. XP is still running perfectly with all its font back in place.
If anyone else has this problem try creating a new user account. Hopefully this will solve the problem
