Bios flashing help

I have a gigabyte 7VT600P-RZ socket A motherboard, and I'm using an AMD Sempron 2500 processer. I'm trying to flash the bios using the correct bios update from the gigabyte website. After I do the intital bios flash it says the new flash has been loaded and I see the correct info, but my processor is still showing up as an AMD athlon XP 1050. Why isn't this flash correcting this? Any ideas or experienced people that know how to fix this, I've flashed every computer using a sempron that needed it and I've never had this problem. Any solutions?????

make sure your running the sempron at 166Mhz FSB (Front Side Bus). look through your motherboards manual for instructions.

also, what memory are you using? you will need at least PC2600. and make sure its in sync with the sempron.
